This is 10R Lite, no it may be the Nord 3?
I'm not sure because this is the OnePlus Ace Race Edition.
It's launched in China & I'm not sure by what name it'll come to India.
But it's going to launch for sure! I think it could be the Lite version to the 10R.
Because the phone is exactly the same except for 2-3 downgraded features.
eg) Display which has moved from AMOLED to IPS. There's less fast charging & no OIS.
By removing that, the 10R becomes 10R Lite.
Let's find out! We're going to unbox & give its first impressions.

It's a red box & Ace Race is written all over. Let's open it.
First, you get some documentation & a case. It's Chinese documentation & there are no stickers.
Usually Indian OnePlus phones come with stickers & there's a decent frosted TPU case.
There's a SIM card tool & the phone itself. We'll keep it aside & see what else is there.
You get a 67W Super VOOC fast charger, a USB Type A to Type C cable.
We'll keep everything aside & take a brief look at the phone.
It looks interesting with the colour! It has a plastic back that looks like glass.
The camera sensors are big & 2 of the sensors are raised. And there's also just a round design.
Comment below, what's printed on it.
The camera module looks a lot like the OnePlus 10 Pro's.
Let's do a drop test!
I don't really know about its protection but the scratch guard is already applied.
The back is plastic so that shouldn't be a problem.
The in hand feel is good but the interesting thing is that it's a OnePlus phone but I don't see an Alert Slider.
It has a side mounted fingerprint sensor & it has a 3.5mm jack.
And its weight should be around 190-195g.
Oh it's 206g & it doesn't seem that heavy. The in-hand feel's good along with its weight distribution.
Display - It's a 6.59" 120Hz IPS LCD display.
Like I mentioned, it doesn't have an AMOLED panel. And it auto adjusts the refresh rate accordingly.
And it has a 90.8% screen to body ratio with 600 nits brightness & it supports HDR10.
Despite having an IPS display, its quality & viewing angles are fantastic!
The chin below is average sized, the bezels are thin & it seems more round compared to the boxy phones nowadays.
This phone is rounded at the sides & if you look at the corners, it looks a little different.
Specifications - This phone comes on MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX SoC. Although "Max" is just a marketing term.
It's a 5nm processor & the Antutu score is 806469.
There are different variants. The Chinese variants start from 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB & 12GB+256GB.
The pricing starts from 1899 Yuan for 8GB+128GB (Rs 22.5-23k).
Battery - It has a 5000mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC charging.
Performance - Its performance on paper shows an 8L score & you can play games on the highest settings.
OS UI - This Chinese variant comes with ColorOS 12.1 which is based on Android 12.
The Chinese variant supports 8 5G bands & it might be the same in India or even less.
Connectivity - You get WiFi 6 & Bluetooth 5.3
The storage type is UFS 3.1 & RAM type is LPDDR5.
Cameras - It gets a 64MP(main)+8MP(UW)+2MP(macro) triple camera setup.
And it doesn't come with OIS & so I called it the 10R Lite because you get OIS in the 10R.
You also get a 16MP selfie sensor on the left. And the punch hole is a little big.
Talking about videography, you can shoot videos on 4K@30FPS & 1080p@30FPS from the front camera.
The original camera samples are provided via GDrive link below in the description.
But I won't give you much first impressions as the post processing is different on the Chinese variant.
You can check the photos out & let me know in the comments below.
I noticed some things like FOV on Ultrawide is 112 degrees which is generally around 118-120 degrees.
Multimedia - Now it has an IPS display instead of AMOLED but it's of good quality.
The video viewing angles are good & it has stereo speakers so multimedia consumption would be decent.
Remember that it has a 3.5mm jack meaning you can use wired headphones if you want.
But the 1 miss for a OnePlus phone is the missing Alert Slider.
I noticed that this Ace branding is of OPPO, so this feels more like an OPPO phone rather than a OnePlus.
Overall this is a performance centric phone & it's a Race Edition for gaming.
It has a fast refresh rate, a 3.5mm jack & an 8100-MAX processor which gives good performance.
So it's very good & it all depends on what name it comes to India!
Whether it'll be the 10R Lite or OnePlus Nord 3 or some "Special Edition". We're not sure.
Whatever name it comes with, it should come below Rs 30k & if it comes at around Rs 25-30k it'll be very good!
And I must say this - This phone is not a OnePlus, it's DNA feels like OPPO.
That's all for this video, until the next one, Keep Trakin & Stay Safe!
